Tallahassee Community College has officially opened applications for the Hispanic Alliance for Talented Students (H.A.T.S.) program 2022-23 cohort. Now in its second year, the program puts an emphasis on promoting intercultural understanding and empowering Hispanic students.
Students in the program will have the opportunity to participate in courses and activities centered around career building, goal-setting, and other empowerment initiatives. As the students progress through the academic year, they will take courses with other members of their cohort and will be provided with personal, committed mentors who will provide holistic support.
To qualify, students must:
- Be of Hispanic descent
- Be a high school graduate from Florida
- Show a high school GPA of 2.5 or higher or College level ACT/SAT scores
- Complete an application to attend TCC
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form for the 2022-23 academic year
Students accepted into the program receive up to six free credit hours for select courses and a textbook stipend. The deadline to apply is Monday, August 1, 2022.
