TCC and Florida DJJ Launch Project Anchor

Tallahassee Community College has partnered with the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) to launch a pilot program focused on workforce education for youth in DJJ facilities. TCC Receives $500,000 from Sunshine Health

Tallahassee Community College has received $500,000 from Sunshine Health to build on the success of the Gadsden Connect initiative. Gadsden Connect began as a pilot project that launched in 2020 with a primary focus of addressing the shortage of healthcare workers by providing scholarships to Gadsden County residents who meet the eligibility criteria for Nursing Assistant and Home Health Aide certification programs. Governor Ron DeSantis has awarded almost $1.6 million to TCC through the Florida Job Growth Grant Fund to increase and enhance workforce education opportunities in the healthcare industry. TCC Unveils State-of-the-Art Welding Lab

Tallahassee Community College has unveiled a new, state-of-the-art Welding Technologies Laboratory (WTL) to the public at the Kim B. Williams Advanced Manufacturing Training Center (AMTC) on the main campus of TCC. The expanded lab, which mirrors an actual welding work environment, provides a realistic workplace for students. TCC Workforce Development receives Pathways to Career Opportunities Grant

TCC Foundation announces $200,000 gift earmarked for Workforce Development efforts

The Tallahassee Community College Foundation announced a $200,000 gift to benefit its workforce development programs. The donor has chosen to remain anonymous. The announcement was made at the Tallahassee Community College District Board of Directors Meeting on Monday, Nov. 16, 2021. The gift will be used to fund ten welding booths in the new Welding Lab opening in January and Wakulla Workforce Scholarships, 35 full-tuition scholarships in the trades for residents of Wakulla County.
