Pam is certified as a Professional in HR (PHR) since 2010 & a SHRM-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) since January 2015. Pam has worked in the Human Resources and Training fields for over 15 years with expertise in developing and implementing HR best practices in support of business strategic plans. Pam has in depth knowledge of HR generalist duties, labor relations, legal compliance, performance management and employment law. She has experience managing in both union and non-union environments for companies with innovation and performance driven models. She is currently working on her Master's Degree in Employment Law to be completed in 2017.

Human Resources Non-Certification
People with disabilities represent a significant and largely underutilized resource for businesses. Many disabled persons are underemployed or unemployed. As a result of advocates for diversity, as well as a shrinking labor pool, employers are taking a serious look at hiring and retaining people with disabilities. This course will provide tools and tips for creating an accessible workplace.

HR for the Non-HR Manager
In today’s fast-moving world, many managers and supervisors are expected to deal with some human resource issues. They may be asked to take part in developing job descriptions, take part in interviews, or take responsibility for discipline. This course will introduce individuals to human resource concepts. It will walk you through the hiring process, from performing a skills inventory to conducting the interview; discuss orientation; and cover some issues that arise after the hiring (such as diversity issues, compensation, and discipline).
