Women's History Month

WHM 2024 LogoMarch is Women's History Month, and it is a time to recognize and celebrate the lives and contributions of American women. Throughout history, women have experienced intimidation and adversities with which few modern women are familiar. Through their steadfastness and courage, women have fought for change, such as gaining women's basic right to vote, reproductive freedom, and equal pay. Many of today's women show tremendous courage in their everyday lives. They have forged change, socially and personally, as well as in their local communities. In accordance with the national organization, Tallahassee Community College holds an annual celebration during which ten community women and five current TCC female students are recognized for their outstanding leadership skills as well as their service to the community.
